Some of our products may help you qualify for points in Green Building Certification programs such as the Florida Green Building Coalition (FGBC) Certification, US Green Building Council (USGBC) LEED Certification, or the National Association of Home Builder’s (NAHB) Green Building Standard. Listed below are areas where you may qualify. Please check with your Certifying Agent or Green Building Professional for more information. · Callida Stone™ and Ceteri Paverstone™ are quarried in Florida which qualifies them as a locally, indigenous material. Our quarrying process allows for the land to be reclaimed for farm use once the stone has been harvested. (FGBC: v7-m1.12 / USGBC: MR 2.2C / NAHB 608.1.2) · Callida Stone™ and Ceteri Paverstone™ are limestone which by its very nature is a pervious material. When used with the proper grout system* and installation practices, it can help to reduce storm water run-off. Callida Stone™ and Ceteri Paverstone™ can be used in the same application as a brick paver. Our 4” Callida Stone™ has been tested with an average Compressive Strength of 3680 PSI (Universal Engineering Sciences Testing-2007). The stone can also help to reduce the heat-island effect since it is a light colored material and is cool to the touch. (FGBC: V7-S4.3 / USGBC: SS-3, SS-4.1, 4.2 / NAHB: 503.4.3, 505.2.2) · When used as a retaining wall, Callida Stone™ can help to reduce long-term erosion and is not susceptible to rotting or termites. (USGBC: SS-4.2 / NAHB: 403.3.4, 503.2.4, 602.8.2) |
